Verizon终止部分用户服务 因非法下载

Verizon通信公司是美国最大的本地电话运营商,并在美国第二大无线运营公司占有大部分股份。早前Verizon曾警告部分P2P用户,称多种情况可能导致终止其服务。今天Verizon发言人Bobbi Henson在接受CNET采访时表示,“Verizon有权终止用户的服务,但Verizon不像Comcast(美国电信运营商之一)那样,我们的带宽没有问题。”

这意味着美国最大的宽带服务商之一的Verizon已经开始对其网络用户非法P2P文件共享说不,虽说可能会导致部分用户的“合法”权益受损,但是最终保护的是该国的音乐、电影等产业。
