随着手机厂商如三星、摩托罗拉、HTC、索尼爱立信、诺基亚、苹果等对智能手机地持续推广，智能手机正在加速普及，下载自己喜欢的软件，安装、使用，这种类似于PC的操作体验得到了不少手机用户的青睐。然而，如同使用PC时遇到的问题，烦恼也同样随之而来，手机病毒也成为了病毒发展的下一个目标。手机病毒是一种破坏性程序，和计算机病毒（程序）一样具有传染性、破坏性。手机病毒可利用发送短信、彩信，电子邮件，浏览网站，下载铃声,蓝牙等方式进行传播。手机病毒可能会导致用户手机死机、关机、资料被删、向外发送垃圾邮件、拨打电话导致用户财产损失等，甚至还会损毁SIM卡、芯片等硬件。
制作病毒的人目的大概可以分为三类。第一类是希望借这种病毒牟利，用户的手机一旦“中毒”之后，就会悄悄为手机用户定制各种业务，从而达到“偷话费”的目的；第二类则是希望通过手机病毒来窥探他人的隐私，因此用户手机在中病毒后，用户的位置信息、通讯录、通话记录，甚至短信都有可能泄露；而最后一类则纯粹是抱着恶作剧的心态，中了这种病毒的手机，会发现手机不少功能出现故障，发生无法打电话或无法上网的情况。从这些情况来看，手机病毒的危害性将高于PC病毒。由于手机本身带有话费，同时也有很多的个人隐私，如果手机中病毒，意味着直接的经济损失，甚至更加严重的隐私泄露。
随着手机病毒的日益猖獗，国内外各大杀毒软件厂商也陆续推出了很多款基于手机操作系统平台（Symbian，Android等）的手机安全软件。本次测试PCSL选取了国内外8款Android平台的安全软件，重点将测试用户最关心的病毒查杀能力和功能对比。

90个国内外流行的Android病毒样本，其中包括：
华尔街、PaintMaster、核辐射检测、珍宝大挪移、3D炫动魔方、经济酒店.A、SMSReplicatorSecret、
硬币海盗等
Android测试平台为Android2.3
软件病毒库统一更新时间为2011年7月16号，测试手机均联网并开启云功能。
以下几种情况表明杀毒软件能成功检测到病毒样本：
A.成功监控到病毒安装包并提示用户清除
B.病毒安装包被安装时反病毒软件能成功侦测并进行卸载
