目前已经知道本机的主要特性包括：8百万有效象素，最大分辨率为3264*2448，10倍光学变焦NIKKOR ED镜头，最大光圈为F2.6，支持尼康VR防手震镜头系统，焦距为35-350MM，23万8千象素的EVF，光圈、快门优先以及全手动支持，采用可翻转1.8英寸LCD屏幕。

尼康旁轴机皇Coolpix8400发布
尼康今日发布了一款十分定位中高端的数码相机Coolpix 8400，它和以前传说的型号相比，变化颇大。这款产品具有800万像素，CCD为2/3"，它使用了3.5倍光学变焦Nikkor ED镜头，其镜头焦距达到了24-85mm，最大光圈为F2.6，为目前消费级DC中最广角的产品。
Coolpix8400具有NEF格式拍摄（RAW），具有非常快速的9区域自动对焦功能，还具有3厘米的超级微距拍摄模式，这款产品可以拍摄最大640x480分辨率的视频，速度为30帧。尼康8400的EVF为23.8万像素，它的LCD为1.8"，13.4万像素。尼康8400支持USB 2.0，使用EN-EL7锂电池，容量为1100毫安，其包含电池的重量为470克。

尼康最小长焦时尚机4800发布
尼康Coolpix4800让人大吃一惊的是其具有8.3倍光学变焦，然而它仅仅只有54mm厚，255克重，而且依然采用了ED镜头，保持了尼康独特的超强微距拍摄模式，15种场景模式，日常使用绰绰有余，这是尼康针对长焦低端市场发起的又一强有力的攻势，非常让人期待。
Coolpix4800具备一枚1/2.5英寸420万总像素CCD，8.3倍光学变焦。8.3倍光变设计，但是机身没有变重，255g的重量，可以列入时尚机行列。有意识的在设计上提倡“品质与操作性相结合”，采用了尼康新设计的36-300mm的镜头，具备1厘米微距模式，15种情景模式，尼康最为出色的拍摄控制器BSS和AE-BSS。这款尼康机型没有透露最大光圈值。1.8" TFT LCD同时具备11.8万的像素。
