东芝 Portege M833外观以玫瑰红做基色，银色的LOGO嵌入中间十分醒目，再配上流行的钢琴烤漆让整机更加艳丽夺目。东芝 Portege M833采用的13.3寸高亮超显炫彩屏，搭载了东芝独特的CSV超显亮技术（Clear Super View），画面动人，呈现清晰，视觉效果明艳流畅。M833内饰是采用黑色钢琴烤漆设计，易沾染指纹，喜爱它的用户需要经常进行擦拭。键盘区上方为电源和音频快捷键，也延续了东芝一贯冷光背投的设计。
配置方面，东芝 Portege M833采用了Intel Core2 Duo(Penryn) T6400(2.0G)的处理器，主板采用了Intel GM45+ICH9M芯片组，采用了Intel GMA X4500集成显卡，另外标配了2G内存，250G硬盘，内置了DVD刻录光驱，蓝牙，130万象素摄像头以及指纹识别模块等配置，整机重约1.9Kg， 6芯锂电池3700mAh，预置Windows Vista Home Basic操作系统。
东芝 Portege M833接口也颇为丰富，分别为1个Express卡槽，1个HDMI高清接口，1个VGA接口，1个多功能读卡器，2个USB2.0接口，1个 eSATA Combo和USB2.0共用接口，1个IEEE1394接口，1个RJ45网络接口，麦克风和耳机插孔，直流电源插孔以及安全锁孔等。
